Dating that goes somewhere
Reading interest, surviving "the talk", and spotting a serial cheater before year four.
Interest is real
- People with no spark turn dates down, have flatter dates, and after two dates tell you ("the talk"). Keen people mean it.
- There are 220 date scenes, voiced by the other person's interest and personality.
- Someone you're actively dating is rarely snapped up by someone else now, and tells you if they move on.
Deeds and chat
- The relationship grid is deeds only: give something you own, take them somewhere in Wanderer, ask a favour, or start a fight. Talking, flirting and breaking up happen in chat.
When it goes wrong
- Affairs can be talked through, and trust rebuilds over years.
- Exes stay in your life, and orientation is part of who people are.
Living together
- Move in with a partner or a roommate and split the rent.
Types to watch for
- Serial cheater: cheats on you and on others; discovery is far more likely than with an ordinary partner, and the clues are concrete.
- Ride-or-die: doesn't drift when you go quiet, forgives more, and sends money when you're in trouble.
- Gold digger: affection tracks your balance, and they walk out over a prenup.
